This project, Echo of the Painting, is an interactive installation. People will engage by physically interacting with the artwork.
The abstract painting features buttons on top of textured hills, which viewers can press. When a button is pressed, the “spirit” of the painting appears on a screen. Here are nine buttons, a button corresponds to a sound and a character’s action. When the user presses different buttons, the character performs different actions. Once the user stops pressing the buttons, after a 2-second wait, the character on the screen will perform the corresponding actions in the order the buttons were pressed, making it look like the character is dancing.
This interaction creates a sense of communicating with the artwork, making it feel alive and reactive. The more the viewers engage, the more the art seems to come to life, fostering a playful and dynamic connection with the piece.
